I came to see Elisa for migraine relief and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From the first session, she was incredibly thorough in her evaluation and actually took the time to explain the 'why' behind my pain. After my first treatment, I could tell a major difference in my pain level. Elisa and her team are very knowledgeable and enjoyable to be around! Highly recommend!

I'm so grateful to have found Dr. Lauren for pelvic floor therapy. She's been so valuable even pre-conception and into pregnancy, and I know will be invaluable going into postpartum recovery! I've struggled to find other providers who I feel I can trust, and Lauren has been such a breath of fresh air with how knowledgeable and supportive she has been throughout the process, a true expert in her field. Highly recommend to anyone going through a similar journey.

I wish I had known in my first pregnancy how valuable working with a qualified pelvic floor PT can be! My first pregnancy was smooth so I really didn't think I needed help, but I was completely blindsided after the birth: my postpartum recovery was very challenging and included a significant diastasis. So during my third pregnancy, I wanted to be proactive and start working with someone early to support a more comfortable pregnancy and a stronger postpartum recovery. I began seeing Dr. Lauren midway through this pregnancy. I immediately connected with her as another mom, and was so impressed with how quickly I started feeling better after working with her. I had been dealing with sharp pain in my left knee, and with a combination of simple exercises and some manual work, the pain went away within just 2–3 sessions!! I also appreciate how she always works at my pace and makes everything feel manageable (which isn't easy as I'm working, raising 2 kids under 3, and very pregnant!) Dr. Lauren also supported me with hip tightness, breathing techniques for birth, birthing positions, and overall labor preparation. Now at 34 weeks, I can feel a huge difference in this pregnancy compared to my first two! I look forward to continuing work with her through postpartum. Dr. Lauren's combined expertise in orthopedics and pelvic floor therapy is such a powerful resource for moms!! I can’t recommend Dr. Lauren enough! She has made such a positive difference in my pregnancy journey, and I’m so grateful for her care!!

I cannot say enough how much Proactive Motion Physical Therapy has improved my quality of life. I’ve had such an improvement with different issues with my knees and lower back. The assessment determined the need and it was fulfilled. When I think of how much improvement it be experienced, it’s amazing. I had goals for walking the dunes at the OBX and just going up and down stairs feeling safe and pain free. I’ve met the goals and others have noticed that I’m not walking with a limp or short stride. I brag on the amazing PT I receive that is focused on my goals and needs. I’ve been a patient for a while. I’ve gone long gaps when I’m doing well but then I may over use my muscles or because I have a desk job I make an appointment and get fixed up. Something that impressed me was her attention to existing causes of inflammation due to an autoimmune condition. She works with you and your body to get the best results for you. If you make an appointment you will be impressed with the level of professionalism and dedication to the craft of physical therapy that is exhibited. Your body will thank you.
